“ My experience leading the kids playing outdoor games was very fun. We ran an obstacle course, three-legged races, fishing pond, lasso the horse and many other fun games. It was time well spent and I would encourage anyone interested in working with kids to come out and join the fun and learning about Jesus!”

“ I have enjoyed the experience of volunteering at VBS for many years. This opportunity has provided an outlet for me to connect with younger children as my own children are grown and I do not have grandchildren. The program theme, message and music are fun and make it easy to share about Jesus in creative ways. I have made new friendships and the camaraderie amongst the other volunteers is supportive and encouraging. The time goes by quickly. The children are curious and will make you smile and laugh with their enthusiasm and comments. I have been able to select an area to serve in that makes me feel comfortable engaging with the children. Please consider becoming a VBS volunteer. You will be enriched and rewarded by the joy of leading young hearts and minds to Jesus.”

“ I’ve volunteered for the daily snack for the past 5 years and I love it! Although I don’t directly lead groups of kids, I do enjoy getting creative with snacks to go along with the “theme” for each day. I think the kids really enjoy seeing what they get to eat and have some fun social time sitting with their groups while watching science experiments. I would absolutely recommend volunteering for VBS week! It’s very rewarding and fulfilling to watch these kids get excited about learning about Jesus and God’s creations.”
