WHY WE GIVE

As we follow Jesus, we learn that everything we have is a gift from God. All that we have and are belong to God, bought with the blood of Jesus. We ask God to give us generous hearts, because He is generous and it is our joy to share His generous heart with the world.

HOW TO GIVE

You can support the ministry of Journey Lutheran by giving an online offering, texting an offering to 248-940-3996 or by giving an offering in worship. We use Kindred Giving for our online and texting offerings. It is a safe and secure platform, and can accept encrypted payments. Online payments can be made with a debit/credit card or through an online ACH bank draft. When you give online we are charged 2.5% + $0.15/transaction for Credit/Debit Card payments or 0.5% + $0.15/transaction for ACH payments. There’s a check box for you to cover those fees as part of your gift.

CARING FOR OXFORD

Called to be compassionate and caring to those who surround us, Journey Lutheran has established a "Caring for Oxford" fund that will seek to provide financial resources for mental health care expenses to those who may be emotionally, mentally, spiritually or physically struggling following the tragic Oxford High School shooting on November 30, 2021.  Those eligible would include students, teachers, staff, faculty and their families along with community members who do not have insurance or have inadequate insurance to cover this care. To facilitate this mental health care, we are working with multiple counseling services across the state to make available telecare sessions, local therapy groups, and when possible, one on one counseling. Our desire is to develop this fund in order that mental health care would be available for those in need as they experience significant anniversary dates in the future.  Financial donations may be made to Journey Lutheran Church with the designation "Caring for Oxford".
