Coffee Ministry
We love coffee and we want it to taste good. That’s why we get our coffee beans from White Pine Coffee right here in Oxford. We grind the beans fresh and use the Chemex pour over for every cup we make. Pastor Matt leads the coffee team, and would love to teach you how to make the best cup of church coffee you’ve ever had. Food Ministry
The Food Ministry at Journey makes meals for some of our partner ministries, including serving meals at Family of God in Detroit and St. Paul Community Lutheran in Pontiac, and packing care kits for Elli’s House in Detroit. Whether it’s cooking up the main entree and sides, or preparing a delicious dessert, our team aims to satisfy. Email Judy to get connected with our next event.
Kids and Youth Ministry
We love kids and young families! Whether it’s during VBS, or one of our Sunday School immersions, you’ll find Jesus at the center of everything we do. Our Family Life Director, Mike, leads the team. Email him to see what we’re up to next!
Lawn and Garden Ministry
Journey’s Lawn and Garden Ministry team helps keep our property beautiful! We recently won an award from the Oxford beautification committee for the landscaping makeover on our campus. Whether it’s tending the garden, or mowing the lawn with our zero-turn mower, there’s a spot for you on the team. Reach out to Judy to see how you can serve.
Music Ministry
We agree with Martin Luther that next to the Word of God, music is the greatest treasure in the world! Our talented and gifted musicians serve in a number of different ways in our worship services, on the Organ, in different worship bands, in the vocal choir, and in our bell choir. If you love music and want to join in making a joyful sound to God, reach out to Katie, our worship director.
Tech Ministry
Our tech ministry helps everything sound and look good, and run smoothly on the livestream. If you love turning the dial up to 11 (which is a reference, and not actually how high we crank the volume), or you love to guide the church singing along with worship lyrics, we have a spot for you at the soundboard or on the computer.
